The William Blount Football field house was completed during the 2006 season. This 3,200 square-foot facility is a $30,000 brain child of longtime Gov supporter, Mr. Kenny Rudd with support from Bruce and Susan Borden (also longtime members of the William Blount family).

Its primary purpose is to provide enough room for the coaches to address the team as a whole in one single area. If you've ever been in the locker rooms, you can appreciate the improvement. It will be used as an area to review game films, do walk-throughs with individual team units, and as a pre-game staging area. The Gov House allows much better communication in a true "team meeting" environment. It's a facility that we can all be proud of.

The Gov House also has office space for the coaches and provides additional storage space for the growing Governor football team. It appears that we will have well over 80 players donning William Blount Governor uniforms this year. That's a lot of equipment to store and manage.

One of the greatest aspects of the Gov House is the people behind it. After the initial shell was erected, many of our parents, family members, community businesses, and PLAYERS put a tremendous amount of work into the Gov House. Several work days were used to build walls and storage areas, install lights and electrical outlets, hang and finish sheet rock, install doors, locks and windows, and install all the plumbing fixtures. These things weren't contracted out. These things were done by parents, relatives and fans ~ free of charge ~ donating not only their time, but materials as well. No less than 50 William Blount family members contributed time and effort to make this project happen. Why, you may ask? OUR YOUNG MEN ARE WORTH IT.

Although the Gov House was a Gov Club project, we would like to thank the Blount County School Board, the Blount County Schools Maintenance Department, the Blount County Schools Central Office, as well as the William Blount High School administration for their efforts and support in allowing us to contribute to the program in this manner.

We are proud to say that the GOV House is now PAID IN FULL!!!!!!

While the Primary focus over the last 4 years has been paying off the Fieldhouse, The Gov Club has also worked hard to improve our existing facilities. The "GOV MANSION" was completely renovated by the Gov Club during the '07 season.
